Neely Joins the Campaign to Say “Every Body Counts”

February 22, 2010

Sapphires have always been at the forefront of ensuring the fashion and modelling industry represents a fair cross section of British society.  In fact in 2007 a model from Sapphires was the first black model to be selected as a finalist for the Model of the Year award at the prestigious Scottish Fashion Awards.  Sapphires was the first openly ethical agency around; we never have and never will represent a size 0 model and we do not encourage models to loose weight full stop.  We always encourage clean living and self esteem among our models to ensure their well-being.

Sapphires founder Neely Reyes was thrilled when she was asked to have her photo taken to form part of the ‘Every Body Counts’ campaign at London Fashion Week.

Every Body Counts is part of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk, a campaign co-Founded by Caryn Franklin, Debra Bourne and Erin O Connor, All Walks is a campaign to promote realistic body shapes on the catwalk and in fashion imagery.

Here is Neely’s photo!
